To all who lost their lives in the Ikeja cantonment Amory explosions

How do I begin to say sorry to the motherless child
Who woke up on a bright Sunday morning
Full of hope and tomorrows aspirations,
And looking forward to parents
Who have since perished on this dooms day!

How do I console a mother
Who sat all day long, waiting for her dear children
From a sojourn of no return!

How do we wipe the tears of a father
Whose children, their mother and neighbors
Are swallowed in the swamp of a canal
That is fast becoming the canal of death!
